Slice is Teradek’s new rack-mount HD-SDI H.264 encoder and decoder family. As an enterprise solution, Slice enables video professionals to broadcast low latency high definition 1080p video for IPTV, streaming servers, OTT content, set-top boxes, or recorders at an unprecedented price. Slice encoders output a variety of stream types (MPEG Transport Stream, RTMP, RTSP, RTP Multicast) and support resolutions up to 1080p at 10Mbps. With the addition of Teradek’s Sputnik server, Slice rack-mount encoders and decoders support IFB communication and remote monitoring capabilities that give broadcasters full control over their IP video deployments. Slice encoders now support Closed Captioning.
